Founded in 1945 by Céline Viviana, the brand is firstly dedicated to made-to-measure children's shoemaking. In the 1960s the brand decides to change its positionning by focusing on ready-to-wear fashion for women and leather accessories such as bags, gloves and loafes. In 1964 the launch of a new fragrance "Vent fou" and the new Sulky collection of accessories, which logo is an american sulky, open a new era of success. From red elephant, to classical sulky, or two C logos, the brand's signature is now simply its name. Céline is part of LVMH group since 1997.
