History

Chloe is an innovative brand created by Gaby AGHION in 1952. It is the 1st brand to introduce Luxury ready-to-wear in the 1950's, at a time when "haute couture" was the only way to gain access to luxury fashion. Flowing lines and light fabrics are Chloé's signature. Hélène LAZAREFF, founder of Elle magazine, supports her friend Gaby. Jackie Kennedy, Brigitte Bardot, Maria Callas and Grace Kelly's names are soon written in the brand's book. Later on, Chloé could add Kirsten Dunst, Nathalie Portman, Lou Doillon, and Sofia Coppola's names to this glowing book. The house was the first luxury brand to offer an iPhone specific version of its website and to provide an internet version of its Parisian fashion show in 2008. The house is incorporated to Richemont group in 1985, Gaby Aghion and her partner Frédéric LENOIR retired at the same time. Would you say Chloé is a more elegant given name than Gaby? That's what the founder thought. The house is member of COMITE COLBERT.
