Off White was founded in Milan (Italy) in 2013. It’s renowned founder, Vigil Abloh, DJ, artist and architect, creates the label after having closed Pyrex Vision. If the label is far from the Maisons de Haute-couture codes with its « street wear » inspiration it is nevertheless positioned high-end, as prices are. The success of the brand is not only based on the fame of its founder and his network of stars and influencers. It’s indubitably its creativeness, its inspiration from the street as well as from Bauhaus and Caravaggio and his talent to be in tune with the times. His complicity with the artist Takashi Murakami brought them together on a project where fashion and art would meet and be enlightened. The success of this very young label is confirmed by it’s global presence with 24 shops and corners in many department stores. Its founder and artistic director, Virgil Abloh, gathers successes and collaborations with prestigious luxury brands such as Rimowa or Moët et Chandon, he is also the artistic director for Louis Vuitton’s men ready to wear.
