History

Gian Petro Repossi is the founder of the eponymous Italian jewellery Maison Repossi. He opens a workshop in 1920 in Turin. His son Constantin, with a background in industrial design, pursue the foundation and opens the first boutique in Turin in 1949. Thereafter, the grand-son Alberto joins the force to lead first the artistic creation. When managing the house, Alberto will expand with the opening of a store in Monte Carlo in 1979, then in Paris at the mythical Place Vendôme in 1986. Since her young age of 21, following her father’s path, Gaïa Repossi becomes the artistic director and still is. Her sensitiveness and art studies at Beaux Arts of Paris will bring the maison to deep links with the world of Arts. There is no hazard if new collections are released at Jeu de Paume museum in Paris, Picasso museum, or in cooperation with Gagosian gallery in France. In the same vein, Rem Koolhas, renowned avant-garde architect was chosen to rethink and fully renew the Boutique Vendôme in 2016. Gaïa has definitely brought the maison to modern ages, her jeweller’ signature being made of contemporary and minimalism. Since 2015, the family saga is shared with LVMH
